Cooking Product Reviews
I know it can be hard deciding what appliances to purchase.
An immersion blender can be a useful kitchen tool when you want to make sauces, smoothies or anything else that needs to be blended. I was tired of trying to make cauliflower mash in my stand up blender. Transferring piping hot cauliflower a few pieces at a time was time consuming and annoying. This hand blender works perfectly.
Pros:
- Easy grip handle
- 2 speed options
- Great blending power
Cons:
- Heavy
Overall, this blender works exactly as it should and I have no complains. I give it four stars.
Simply Calphalon 7qt Dutch Oven
I was in the mood for braised ribs yesterday, but realized that I didn't have a dutch oven. Lucky for me I live about two blocks from a Macy's and was able to run out and get one. To be honest, I bought this because it was the only one they had. Overall, it served its purpose and I was happy with the results. The short ribs were amazing.
Pros:
- Great non-stick surface
- Easy to clean
- Kept moisture in well
Cons:
- Not dishwasher safe
- Only over safe up to 400º
- Lid doesn't seem to fit any tighter than other pots
Martha Stewart Stainless Steel 7 Piece Barware Set
I bought this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. It makes him feel like a mixologist. The shaker is well made and never leaks. If you like making drinks at home, but don't want to spend a fortune on a bar, this is the set to have.
Pros:
- No leaks
- Dishwasher safe
- Comes with a cute serving tray
Cons:
- None
